NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, dubbed "Credit Professor" and DJ Diesel, is partnering with Credit One Bank for the "Credit Tip Off Tour," a free college campus initiative. The tour aims to provide credit education to students, addressing common credit mistakes and promoting healthy financial habits. O'Neal, who experienced his own financial missteps early in his career, will share his firsthand experiences and advice, emphasizing that strong credit is a learning process.

The tour features "Real Credit Chats" moderated by various personalities, interactive games, and activities, culminating in a live DJ Diesel set by O'Neal. The educational content is rooted in the bank's "Credit Wrecker" tips, which use characters like Miss Payment, Max Out, Cancelina, and One Track Jack to illustrate common credit errors related to on-time payments, credit utilization, credit history, and credit mix.

The tour kicks off on September 14 at Southern Methodist University (SMU)'s Moody Coliseum. Subsequent stops include Georgia State University (GSU) on October 23, Fred's Bar in Baton Rouge on November 6, and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) on November 9. Each event is free and open to 500 enrolled students, who can register at creditonetipofftour.com. Credit One Bank's Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Coleman, stated that the initiative aims to close the credit education gap not typically covered in school and empower young people for a successful financial future.
