Lantheus Holdings Inc. is reportedly weighing a potential sale following a takeover offer from Curium Pharma, which values the radiopharmaceutical company at around $7 billion. Discussions between the two companies regarding a potential deal are ongoing and could conclude within weeks, though no final decision has been made, and there is no guarantee that the talks will result in a transaction. Both Lantheus and Curium have declined to comment on the market rumors and speculation.

This potential acquisition comes after Curium's majority owner, global investment firm CapVest, recapitalized Curium last year through a new continuation vehicle that similarly valued the radiopharmaceutical company at $7 billion. This previous transaction underscored investor confidence in Curium's future growth in a rapidly expanding radiopharmaceutical market. Lantheus itself has recently been active on the acquisition front, including a $250 million upfront deal for Evergreen Theragnostics last year and acquisitions of Meilleur Technologies and Life Molecular Imaging.

Lantheus reported $377.3 million in worldwide revenues for the first quarter of 2026, marking a 1.2% increase from the prior-year period. Key revenue drivers included $240.9 million from PYLARIFY sales, $35.4 million from Neuraceq, and $84.6 million from DEFINITY. The company has maintained its 2026 revenue guidance of $1.4 billion to $1.45 billion and adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $5.00 to $5.25, emphasizing focus on PSMA PET, Alzheimer's imaging, and radiodiagnostic capital deployment.

Regulatory milestones are also on Lantheus's 2026 calendar, including the FDA's extension of the PDUFA date for LNTH-2501 to June 29 for manufacturing review. Additionally, the FDA granted approval for PYLARIFY TruVu, with a phased commercial launch planned for Q4 2026. Despite these developments, a securities class-action complaint filed in September 2025 accusing Lantheus and some executives of misleading investors regarding PYLARIFY's competitive position and revenue outlook remains part of the company's backdrop.
