OptionsWhisper — Privacy Policy

Overview

OptionsWhisper is an options trading companion app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Stored on Your Device

OptionsWhisper does not require account creation, login, or any personal details. The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to our servers:

• Your watchlist symbols and portfolio positions
• App preferences (theme, data source settings)
• Recent search history

Data Transmitted to Our Servers

When live data is enabled, the app sends requests to our API proxy to retrieve market data. Each request includes:

• The stock symbol you searched for or viewed
• A randomly generated device identifier used solely for rate limiting

This device identifier is not linked to your identity, Apple ID, or any personal information. It is held in temporary memory for rate limiting purposes only and is not logged, stored to disk, or shared with any third party.

Third-Party Services

• Market Data Providers — we use third-party services to provide stock quotes, charts, and options data. All requests are proxied through our servers, so your device never contacts these providers directly.
• Apple StoreKit — handles subscription purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs in-app purchase data.

Subscriptions

OptionsWhisper Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.

OptionsWhisper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
