Trump asserted that he had ended seven previously "unendable" wars in just seven months, including conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Congo and Rwanda, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan. He criticized the UN for not assisting in these peace efforts, stating that the organization merely writes "strongly worded letters" that don't solve wars. He also claimed he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for these achievements but stated his true prize was saving lives.
He further attacked the UN for its perceived corruption and inefficiency, referencing a past bid to renovate the UN complex for $500 million, which he claimed was rejected in favor of a project costing between $2 billion and $4 billion that resulted in an inferior product. He also accused the UN of actively funding an assault on Western countries' borders by budgeting $372 million in 2024 to support 624,000 migrants journeying into the United States, providing them with food, shelter, transportation, and debit cards.
Trump also addressed global threats, particularly Iran, stating that he obliterated Iran's nuclear facilities with B-2 bomber strikes in "Operation Midnight Hammer" and then brokered an end to a 12-day war between Israel and Iran. He threatened Russia with powerful tariffs if it did not end its war, contingent on European nations joining the U.S. in these measures.
