The 2026 regular season has shown significant growth across key metrics. NASCAR event admissions are up 9% year over year, with 11 Cup Series sellouts, including nine consecutive races from the Coca-Cola 600 to the Cook Out 400. Social media impressions surged by 31% from 2025 to 1.94 billion, and trackside merchandise sales hit their highest level in a decade, increasing by 26.8% year over year. Online sales through NASCAR Shop also rose by 24%.

Viewership among younger demographics is particularly strong. The Cup Series reached over 39 million unique viewers, with an 8% increase in viewership among adults aged 18-24. The O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, averaging 1.1 million viewers, saw a 4% year-over-year increase and was The CW's top-performing program for 22 out of 24 weeks. The Craftsman Truck Series recorded more than double the viewership among adults aged 18-24 and a 46% increase among adults aged 18-34, with overall viewership up 9% to 567,000. Additionally, the NASCAR Channel is averaging over 100 million minutes watched and 4 million viewers monthly, a 25% increase since August 2025.

NASCAR is also leveraging digital platforms to engage new and younger audiences. The NASCAR World experience on Roblox has generated 180 million visits from over 37 million unique users in 2026, with more than 60% of users under 18 and 80% outside North America. Since its launch in 2025, it has reached over 55 million unique users. Viewership for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series is up more than 18% year-to-date compared to 2025, further illustrating the sport's success in attracting a diverse and younger audience.

Independent research from MRI-Simmons' July 2026 Sports Fan Study indicates that approximately 83 million U.S. adults identify as NASCAR fans, with around 21 million reporting increased engagement. The study also found that 63% of NASCAR fans believe sponsors contribute more to their fan experience compared to other sports, and they are 56% more likely to purchase from brands sponsoring their favorite athletes, teams, or leagues.
