CVC Capital Partners has named Todd Sisitsky, who was previously president at TPG, as co-chief executive. He will share the leadership role with Peter Rutland, an internal appointee. This change is part of a planned leadership transition, with current CEO Rob Lucas stepping down in the first quarter of 2028.

Sisitsky has a long-standing career in private equity, having spent over two decades at the U.S. firm TPG. His appointment, which is considered rare for an external hire in the sector, is seen as a strategic move to strengthen CVC's presence and capabilities in the U.S. market. TPG announced Sisitsky's resignation from his role as president on September 6.

Peter Rutland has been with CVC for 19 years and currently serves as a managing partner and president of the firm. CVC, which manages approximately €212 billion ($246.47 billion) in assets, saw its shares trade nearly 19% below their debut price from the April 2024 IPO on Euronext Amsterdam. Rob Lucas, who has led the firm since 2021 and oversaw its IPO, will remain actively involved at a group level and in investment activities after the transition.
