HGP's core innovation includes AI-powered digital twin technology (NTH-Sim) for real-time core monitoring and predictive safety analytics, alongside variable-speed reactor coolant pumps. These technologies enable reactors to follow AI data center loads dynamically, without relying on the public grid, addressing a critical commercialization problem in the AI buildout. The company's approach leverages decades of naval nuclear operating expertise, with a safety record of over 5,400 reactor-years across 200+ submarines and carriers with zero radiological incidents.

Prometheus, a $230 million Department of Energy AI moonshot for nuclear power, has named HGP Intelligent Energy as a commercial partner. HGP contributes its digital twin and variable-speed reactor coolant pumps to this initiative, working with Argonne National Laboratory to validate its technology. The program, which includes partners like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and NVIDIA, aims to halve nuclear deployment timelines and reduce operating costs by 50%. HGP is a contributor to Prometheus, not a recipient of federal funding under it, committing over $250 million alongside other commercial partners in the program.

The increasing power demand from AI data centers, projected to surge from 3-4% to over 8% of U.S. power by the end of the decade, highlights the urgency for HGP's solutions.
