Gaurav Pant, a Partner at Apollo Global Management based in Singapore, is leaving the firm after 18 years. Pant, who was a member of Apollo's Hybrid Value Team, confirmed his departure through an update on his LinkedIn profile, where he also indicated a new journey beginning after nine years at the firm. He played a significant role in Apollo's operations in the Asia-Pacific region, which has seen substantial growth, raising over $35 billion since 2022 and becoming one of Apollo's largest and fastest-growing hubs globally with over 500 employees across eight regional offices.

Prior to joining Apollo in 2008, Pant worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, with stints in both Singapore and Mumbai. During his tenure at Apollo, he served on the board of directors for Global School Holdings and is an advisory board member for the Global Indian Foundation & Global Indian Cultural Centre. His educational background includes an MBA from IIM Calcutta, where he was awarded the Dr. K. Nath Public Trust Gold Medal for academic excellence, and he is an electrical engineer by qualification.

Apollo Global Management, a financial services company founded in 1990 and headquartered in New York, has approximately 3,000-4,000 employees and annual revenue in the $30 billion-$40 billion range. The firm operates in eight countries and has a market cap in the $80 billion-$90 billion range, with its IPO in 2011. While the exact reasons for Pant's departure were not specified, his move signals a notable change in the leadership landscape for Apollo's Asia-Pacific operations.
