The eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau, which began late on Friday, September 4, 2026, has significantly impacted air traffic. A total of 33 flights were affected at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This includes 16 international flight cancellations, 7 international delays, and 5 international reschedules. Affected international routes included those to and from Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul/Incheon, Doha, Amsterdam, and Kuala Lumpur.
Domestically, 4 flights were canceled and 1 was diverted. These affected routes included flights to and from Lampung, Denpasar, and Surabaya.
