Google co-founder Larry Page has significantly expanded his real estate portfolio in Miami's Coconut Grove, acquiring multiple high-value properties in late 2025 and early 2026. His purchases include the 4.5-acre Banyan Ridge estate for $101.5 million in December 2025, a nearby waterfront mansion for $71.9 million in January 2026, and a third parcel for nearly $15 million later that same month. These acquisitions, totaling over $188 million, are seen as part of a strategy to establish a primary residence in Florida, benefiting from the state's favorable tax environment.

Page's move to Florida has been compared to Jeff Bezos's relocation, as both billionaires appear to be strategically shifting their business interests and residences to avoid potential wealth taxes in California. Page's family office, Koop, has already moved out of California, incorporating in Delaware, and another business entity, One Aero, has moved to Florida. This exodus of wealthy individuals from California is partly driven by a proposed ballot measure for a one-time wealth tax of 5% on individuals worth over $1 billion who resided in California on January 1, 2026.

The properties acquired by Page, while not adjacent, are located in the exclusive Coconut Grove area, known for its luxury waterfront living and walkability. The Banyan Ridge estate features 13 bedrooms and 15.5 bathrooms, spanning over 11,800 square feet, while the second acquisition, Casa Bahia, is a contemporary 10,400-square-foot home with private water frontage on Biscayne Bay. These purchases contribute to Page's estimated net worth of $327 billion and a global property portfolio that includes private islands and a 193-foot explorer yacht.
