Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors and Texas Capital Funds Trust announced their intention to transfer two Texas-focused Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), the Texas Capital Texas Equity Index ETF (TXS) and the Texas Capital Texas Oil Index ETF (OILT), from NYSE Arca to the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE). This move is slated to make TXS and OILT the first primary listings and first ETFs on the TXSE, with trading expected to commence on September 16, 2026, under their existing ticker symbols, subject to regulatory approvals. The final day of trading for these funds on NYSE Arca is anticipated to be September 15, 2026.
Rob C. Holmes, Chairman, President, and CEO of Texas Capital, highlighted that this decision aligns the ETFs with an exchange that reinforces Texas's economic strength, which at approximately $2.9 trillion in gross domestic product as of 2025, ranks as the eighth-largest economy globally. James H. Lee, TXSE Chairman and CEO, expressed honor in welcoming these funds as cornerstone listings for the nascent exchange, emphasizing Texas Capital's leadership and commitment to innovation.
Launched in 2023, TXS provides diversified exposure to publicly traded companies headquartered in Texas, while OILT offers targeted exposure to publicly traded oil and gas producers with significant activity in Texas. Following the transfer, both funds will retain their investment objectives, strategies, and ticker symbols. Existing shareholders are not required to take any action, and no disruption in trading is expected. This move is significant for TXSE as it represents its first primary ETF listings, distinguishing it from its existing secondary listings and setting the stage for potential future IPOs, which an adviser expects in early 2027.
