Arcus Infrastructure Partners is exploring a potential sale of Workdry International Limited, a company specializing in water infrastructure solutions, with a valuation estimated at around £2 billion ($2.5 billion). This consideration comes after Arcus acquired a majority stake in Workdry International in September 2022. The Bright family and key management retained the remaining shareholding at the time of the acquisition. Workdry International operates under two main businesses: Selwood, which manufactures and rents water pumps, and Siltbuster, which provides equipment for on-site water treatment.
Workdry International has a long operational history, with Selwood boasting over 70 years of experience, and Siltbuster over two decades in treating contaminated waters. The company provides critical asset leasing activities complemented by specialized services and integrated solutions, including surveying, system design, installation, monitoring, and decommissioning. Workdry serves a diverse customer base across utilities, infrastructure, and construction sectors in the UK, Europe, and North America. In August 2025, Workdry completed a strategic refinancing package totaling £660 million ($887 million), which included £470 million ($632 million) drawn at close and an additional £190 million ($255 million) in revolving credit/capex facilities.
Arcus Infrastructure Partners, an independent fund manager, focuses on long-term investments in European infrastructure. Their investment in Workdry was part of their strategy to target middle-market, value-add infrastructure, aligning with the robust growth outlook underpinned by stringent regulation and public scrutiny regarding the UK's water infrastructure. The potential sale would mark a significant development for Arcus's investment portfolio, given the substantial increase in Workdry's valuation since its acquisition in 2022 for an undisclosed sum, with reported revenues of €95 million in 2021.
