The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) is set to welcome its inaugural new ETF, the Westwood Salient Enhanced Power & Infrastructure ETF (PWRX), on September 17, 2026. This actively managed fund, developed by Dallas-based Westwood Holdings Group, will be the first ETF to launch on the TXSE, marking a significant milestone for the new exchange, which received SEC approval in late 2025 and began phased trading rollouts in July 2026. PWRX's listing on TXSE highlights the exchange's commitment to innovation and partnership, as stated by James H. Lee, Chairman and CEO of TXSE.
PWRX, also known as "Power-X," will be part of Westwood's Enhanced Income Series™ ETFs and aims for total return through income and capital appreciation. The fund's strategy focuses on the rapidly increasing power demands in the United States, which have been largely flat for nearly two decades but are now accelerating due to the growth of artificial intelligence, data centers, and industrial reshoring. It will invest broadly across the power ecosystem, including traditional energy, utilities, grid infrastructure, data center infrastructure, and next-generation energy technologies.
The ETF will be managed by Westwood's experienced Houston-based Energy team and will employ a high-conviction equity portfolio complemented by a systematic covered call overlay designed to generate monthly income. Brian Casey, CEO of Westwood Holdings Group, expressed pride in being the first to list a new ETF on the TXSE, emphasizing the fitting partnership between a Dallas-based manager, a Houston-based energy team, and the new Texas exchange. This initiative underscores Westwood's dedication to innovation and leadership within its home state, as it seeks to shape the future of income-oriented investing and support the growth of the financial sector in Texas. Westwood currently manages over $300 million in ETF assets across its existing offerings.
