He described his father's condition as "very painful" and "very debilitating in many respects," adding that it is "really sad to watch." Hunter Biden expressed a wish that his father would complain more about his health, stating, "it's not good."
Former President Biden, 83, publicly disclosed his cancer diagnosis in May 2025, less than four months after leaving the White House. At that time, his office indicated a Gleason score of 9, placing him in Grade Group 5, the most severe category, suggesting the cancer was aggressive and potentially long-standing. He also underwent surgery for skin cancer in September 2025 and radiation therapy for prostate cancer in October 2025.
Separately, Hunter Biden commented on the pardon his father granted him, stating it was "not good" for the Constitution, the American people, or his father's legacy. He acknowledged that the pardon was "easily criticised and for good reason," and he could not pretend otherwise.
