Airbus reported robust Half-Year (H1) 2026 results, surpassing market expectations with a 54% increase in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT Adjusted) to $2.4 billion for the second quarter. Sales for the quarter also saw significant growth, rising 28% to $20.5 billion. These figures exceeded analyst consensus, which had projected an adjusted EBIT of $2.2 billion and sales of $20.2 billion. The strong performance was attributed to increased aircraft deliveries and the solid performance of its defense activities.

For the first half of 2026, Airbus delivered 351 commercial aircraft, generating revenues of $33.2 billion and an EBIT Adjusted of $2.7 billion. The reported EBIT also stood at $2.7 billion, with reported earnings per share (EPS) of $2.84. Despite a negative free cash flow before customer financing of -$1.2 billion in H1, this was an improvement compared to -$1.61 billion in the prior year period. The company ended the period with a consolidated net cash position of $8.4 billion.

Airbus has maintained its full-year 2026 guidance, targeting approximately 870 commercial aircraft deliveries. The company also aims to achieve an EBIT Adjusted of around $7.5 billion and a free cash flow before customer financing of approximately $4.5 billion. This guidance remains unchanged and is presented before M&A activities, incorporating the impact of currently applicable tariffs. The company assumes no additional disruptions to traffic, the supply chain, or its internal operations for these targets.
