Danone SA announced higher sales in the fourth quarter of 2025, primarily fueled by increased demand for protein-rich yogurts and fortified drinks targeted at cancer patients. Like-for-like sales saw a 4.7% increase, surpassing the 4.4% estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey.

For the full year 2025, Danone's sales reached 27.28 billion euros, marking a 4.5% rise on a like-for-like basis. The company's current operating profit was 3.67 billion euros, resulting in an operating margin of 13.4%, up from 13% in 2024. Net current profit also increased by 5%, reaching 2.46 billion euros.

Looking ahead, Danone has projected sales growth of between 3% and 5% for the current year. This positive outlook is supported by strong performance across its segments, particularly in specialized nutrition, which grew by 8.7% in the first half of 2025. The company also announced a proposed dividend of 2.25 euros per share for 2025, an increase from 2.15 euros in 2024.

Danone's growth has been notably driven by volume increases for the sixth consecutive quarter, reaching 4.2% in the second half of 2025. China, in particular, has been a key market, driving growth in infant formula and medical nutrition. This performance has allowed Danone to gain market share and navigate a challenging inflationary environment more effectively than some competitors.
