PwC UK partners are set to receive an average annual pay of over £900,000 for the year to June 30, 2026. This projection represents an increase of more than 5% from the previous year's £865,000. This near-record payout follows cost-cutting initiatives within the firm, even as it navigates a challenging consulting market where companies are delaying or reducing projects.

This expected remuneration places PwC's partner payouts above KPMG's average of £880,000 and EY's £787,000 from the previous year. However, it still remains below Deloitte's average of £1.05 million. The projected figure applies to PwC's 973 partners, though the final amount could change as the firm's accounts are not yet finalized. Some sources suggest executives might retain a portion of profits for business investment.

The anticipated payout would bring partner remuneration close to levels seen in 2022 and 2023 under former senior partner Kevin Ellis, when strong performance from PwC UK's Middle East business helped keep average profit per partner above the £900,000 threshold for two consecutive years. The firm saw its total staff numbers decline from 36,000 to 33,700 during this period, partly due to slower hiring and industry-wide job cuts in a slowing market. Despite this, some smaller competitors are also increasing pay, with equity partners at RSM, a UK mid-tier accounting firm, receiving an average of £821,000 last year.
