Moneysupermarket, owner of comparison sites MoneySuperMarket and MoneySavingExpert, is set to launch an investment platform later this year. This move follows the successful introduction of 'Savings by MoneySuperMarket,' which allows customers to find, open, and manage various savings accounts directly within the platform. The new investment offering aims to provide a seamless path from short-term savings to long-term financial growth, capitalizing on a significant market opportunity and integrating with its SuperSaveClub ecosystem, which boasts nearly 2.4 million members.
The company is actively leveraging artificial intelligence to transform its services and address investor concerns about AI's impact on price comparison sites. In February, Moneysupermarket was the first price comparison site to launch a ChatGPT app, enabling users to access its services conversationally directly within the ChatGPT interface. A second version of the app has since been released with expanded functionality. Additionally, its AI-powered Price Optimiser has helped over 100,000 customers save an average of £25 since late February.
MoneySuperMarket's shares, under the MONY Group, saw a 1.6% rise after the announcement of its AI integration efforts, despite earlier concerns that AI advancements could diminish the value of price comparison sites. The company's strategy focuses on evolving its app into an "everyday money companion," with features like three-click renewal journeys and a secure policy documentation hub. This approach, supported by a re-platformed data and technology infrastructure, aims to convert transactional users into long-term members, with SuperSaveClub as a key driver for growth and increased customer lifetime value. The group reported record revenues of £446.3 million in 2025 and an adjusted EBITDA of £145.1 million.
