Stellantis announced a significant increase in its estimated consolidated shipments for the first quarter of 2026, reaching 1.4 million units, a 12% rise compared to the same period in 2025. This growth was largely propelled by robust performance in North America and Enlarged Europe, along with positive contributions from the Middle East & Africa and South America regions. The company's press release highlighted that the term "shipments" refers to vehicles delivered to dealers, distributors, or directly to retail and fleet customers, which generally triggers revenue recognition.

North America experienced a substantial 17% increase in shipments, totaling 379,000 units, a gain of 54,000 vehicles. This surge was attributed to the increased momentum of the Ram 1500 (light-duty) HEMI V8, the refreshed Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and the all-new Jeep Cherokee. These models alone accounted for over 100% of the year-over-year growth in the region, although this was partially offset by lower shipments of the Jeep Compass. Enlarged Europe also saw a healthy 12% increase, with shipments rising by 69,000 units, particularly benefiting from new launches in passenger cars and the strong performance of Smart Car platform nameplates such as the Citroën C3, C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, and Fiat Grande Panda.

Further contributing to the overall increase, the Middle East & Africa region's shipments grew by 11% (11,000 units), primarily due to Türkiye, and the continued ramp-up of local production in Algeria. South America recorded a 4% increase (8,000 units), driven by an 11% rise in Brazil, which overshadowed a 19% decline in Argentina due to industry challenges and competition from new Chinese entrants. Stellantis maintained its leadership in regional shipments and in its main markets of Brazil and Argentina. Additionally, Leapmotor-branded vehicles showed commercial momentum in Europe, with shipments increasing by 22,000 units to approximately 27,000 units, largely due to the success of the T03 BEV in the entry-price segment.

The overall increase in shipments across these key regions suggests a positive trajectory for Stellantis's financial performance. The company's strategic focus on new models and platform commonality appears to be yielding positive results, particularly in North America and Europe, which are critical markets for its global operations. These figures were released by Stellantis N.V. on April 15, 2026.
