American firms such as Agility Robotics, backed by Amazon, are also testing humanoids in warehouses. Other US companies like Figure have released videos of robots collaborating. Despite advancements, industry experts like Eric Li, founder of Geely, emphasize the long process ahead for robots to truly replace humans, particularly in tasks requiring complex hand-brain coordination. Safety is a major concern, as even small glitches can appear threatening due to the robots' size and human-like form, leading to calls for stricter safety testing and potential bans on Chinese humanoids in the U.S. due to national security concerns.
