Donald Trump's financial disclosure for 2025, released on Tuesday, shows he earned at least $2.2 billion in his first year back in the White House. This figure significantly surpasses the $622 million his enterprises earned in 2024, before his return to the presidency. A major portion of this income, approximately $1.4 billion, came from his family's cryptocurrency businesses.
Key cryptocurrency earnings include $635 million from his $TRUMP memecoin and nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto company co-founded by his family members. One substantial transaction involved an investment firm tied to the United Arab Emirates buying nearly half of World Liberty Financial, blurring the lines between foreign policy and private enterprise. Trump also reported over $500 million from sales by World Liberty Financial and $635 million from "Celebration Coins" linked to CIC Digital LLC, his meme coin business.
Beyond crypto, Trump's traditional holdings also generated significant revenue. Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, brought in more than $77 million. Other substantial earnings came from Trump Doral ($121.9 million), Lamington Farm Club ($37.6 million), Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach ($36.9 million), and Jupiter Golf Club ($31.6 million). He also collected millions from branded merchandise, including $4.7 million from a watch deal, and more than $86 million from legal settlements.
This disclosure highlights a potential conflict of interest, as Trump is both a major crypto industry operator and the top policymaker in that space. White House spokesperson Anna Kelly dismissed these concerns, stating that the administration's crypto policies aim to promote U.S. innovation. Forbes estimates Trump's net worth has climbed to $6 billion, up from $2.3 billion in 2024, largely due to these new earnings.
