The NHTSA has noted that Ford is aware of 24 allegations of property damage and nine alleged injuries linked to this transmission issue. To address the problem, Ford will notify vehicle owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to bring their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealership.
