JPMorgan Chase is revamping its executive leadership, effectively narrowing the pool of candidates to succeed long-time CEO Jamie Dimon. Marianne Lake, a 27-year veteran and a contender for the CEO role, will retire. As part of these changes, Doug Petno and Troy Rohrbaugh have been named co-presidents of the company. Rohrbaugh will succeed Lake as CEO of consumer and community banking, while Petno will become the sole CEO of the commercial and investment bank. Both Petno and Rohrbaugh will receive a $30 million equity award, with Mary Erdoes and Jennifer Piepszak receiving $20 million each.
Truist Financial Corporation has appointed Michael P. Lyons as its next president and CEO, effective September 1, 2026. Current CEO Bill Rogers will transition to executive chair on that date and plans to retire in April 2027. Lyons brings over three decades of financial services experience, including prior roles as CEO of Fiserv, Inc. and president of The PNC Financial Services Group. Rogers will support the leadership transition as executive chair until his retirement, aligning with Truist's planned succession strategy.
F&G Annuities & Life, Inc. announced that Chris Blunt will retire as CEO of F&G, though he will remain a director and CEO of Peak Altitude Equity, LLC. Conor Murphy, currently President and CFO, will assume a broader role as CEO and President of F&G, effective June 30, 2026. Additionally, Michael Bailey will join as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on August 3, 2026, with Mark Wiltse serving as interim CFO until then. CME Group's longest-serving Chairman and CEO, Terry Duffy, will transition to Executive Chairman on March 1, 2027, after more than 25 years at the helm.
