Bonnie Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. (HKEX), indicated a significant uptick in IPO momentum in Hong Kong. Speaking at Bloomberg Invest 2026, Chan noted that both issuers and investors are considerably more engaged than in previous years, signaling a robust pipeline for public offerings.

This renewed interest is partly attributed to a "window for issuers to pounce," allowing them to list by the end of June and avoid the need to update their financial statements. The market has also been buoyed by the conclusion of SpaceX's record-breaking offering and an improving global market sentiment following a US-Iran agreement.

Hong Kong is set to see at least 17 listings in June, which would be the highest number since December. These listings are projected to raise a combined total of up to $4.6 billion. Six of these anticipated listings began taking investor orders as of June 12, 2026, further emphasizing the increased activity and positive outlook for the region's capital markets.
