IFM Investors is on the verge of securing a 50% ownership stake in Atlas Arteria Ltd., an Australia-listed toll road operator, as the deadline for its takeover bid approaches. As of a Tuesday stock exchange notice, IFM holds 45.64% of Atlas Arteria shares, and when including an additional 1.33% held by or on behalf of IFM Investors' clients, their effective holding reaches approximately 47%.
IFM's offer values Atlas Arteria at A$7.4 billion ($5.2 billion). The deadline for this takeover bid is Thursday night. This move signifies a significant advancement for IFM in its attempt to acquire control of Atlas Arteria.
