Domino's Pizza Enterprises (DPE) has announced the appointment of Andrew Gregory as its new Group CEO and Managing Director, with his start date no later than August 5, 2026. This leadership change comes as the company navigates a "tough patch for pizza" highlighted by slower sales growth, increasing costs, and its first annual loss since listing publicly in 2025. Executive Chairman Jack Cowin noted Gregory's extensive experience as crucial for leading the company through its next phase. Until Gregory assumes the role, the existing leadership team will manage daily operations.

Gregory joins Domino's after a distinguished career spanning over three decades at McDonald’s. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President for Global Franchising, Development, and Delivery in the US, overseeing critical aspects of McDonald’s international operations. His previous roles included CEO of McDonald’s ANZ and Senior VP/Chief Support Officer for Supply Chain, Operations, and Development in Japan. His deep background in managing franchise networks, supporting restaurant expansion, and improving operational performance across global systems was a key factor in his selection.

The appointment of Gregory is seen as a strategic move to stabilize Domino's business, which operates in 12 markets including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Cambodia. The company's immediate focus is on improving financial performance, strengthening franchisee profitability, enhancing customer offerings, and stabilizing its global business. This leadership transition aims to address recent executive departures and align with the company's efforts to regain stability and improve shareholder returns following a challenging period.
