Gu, who was honored by the Shift as a woman shifting culture through sports, has achieved significant career milestones. By 2025, she was one of the world's highest-paid female athletes, reportedly earning $23.1 million, placing her in the top five globally.
During the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Gu further cemented her legacy. She secured three additional Olympic medals, including one gold and two silver, becoming the most decorated freeskier of all time with a total of six Olympic medals.
