Building materials group CRH Plc. is close to finalizing its largest acquisition ever, a deal to acquire competitor Arcosa Inc. An agreement could be reached as early as next week, according to reports from the Financial Times, which cited individuals familiar with the negotiations.
Arcosa Inc., which specializes in infrastructure construction services, including transportation lines and energy projects in the United States, currently has a market capitalization nearing $7 billion. When factoring in Arcosa's existing debt, the total price of the acquisition could exceed $8 billion.
This potential acquisition marks a significant strategic move for CRH, as it would represent their biggest deal to date, substantially expanding their presence and capabilities within the building materials and infrastructure sectors.
